Document types

Upload, recognise, file.

Invented documents. crosstax builds the name and folder from the default naming scheme, here for a firm that files in German.

How it works

How crosstax sorts

  1. The AI reads the document

It determines the type from the document itself. crosstax gives it a description of every document type and tells it how to distinguish similar ones.

  2. Without AI: the slot’s default

If the AI is unavailable, does not answer, or the file is neither a PDF nor a photo, the category the document slot provides applies: set in the workflow or derived from keywords in its identifier. The upload’s file name plays no part.

  3. Name and folder

The document type yields the folder and file name according to your firm’s naming scheme, in the file list and in the ZIP.

  4. Correct

Your firm can change any category, and no machine overwrites it after that. Your clients can correct the category of their own documents, never against your firm.

The AI processing runs in data centres in Europe.

This list comes from the same taxonomy that your firm’s file list and your clients’ portal use. When a document type is added, it appears here.
